The busiest Pharmacy within the Saffron Pharmacy Group had item growth of over 2000 items over the last 12 months with their peak items in January 24 being 23k Items.

This growth put strain on the pharmacy teams and staff to maintain excellent customer service whilst ensuring they hit their NMS targets.

In June - August 2023 the branch averaged at 31% on the NMS Framework.

Whilst the branch performed good on services in the period of June 23 - Jan 24 at 39%. 

There were too many inconsistencies with the highest month being 57% and the lowest 16%.

The Pharmacy began using the automated clinical check in February 24 and as a result has seen 53% of their prescriptions automatically clinically checked. 

Freeing up the pharmacist to focus on Services.

As a result - Their NMS performance from February - May has increased to an average of 63% with the highest month on record being in May at an astounding 72%.

In addition to this - The branch have also been able to reduce their team size by two FTEs saving approximately £50k PA in costs.
