Cegedim are pleased to announce the formation of a new Clinical Advisory Board (CAB), consisting of healthcare experts from across the UK. The Board has been created with the aim to provide further strategic direction for Cegedim’s journey to deliver smarter, user-centric clinical solutions, and will support the company’s overall mission to deliver innovative solutions so that clinicians can continue to deliver effective patient care whilst improving outcomes.
The CAB includes nine primary care and public health experts from across the NHS and has already held its first meeting. Following that initial meeting, Cegedim has now developed a number of special interest groups within the wider team to ensure that momentum is maintained in hearing its members’ feedback and ideas.
With Dr Charlotte Gretton leading the group as CAB Managing Director, other members include;
- Dr Steven Laitner is a practicing GP and healthcare consultant who has held several public health and clinical leadership roles at local, regional and national level. He has a particular interest in Population Health Management and has led NAPC work on Population Health Management.
- Dr Helen Davies is a practicing GP in Calderdale where she is the clinical lead for community and Population Health Management at Calderdale CCG. She has a strong interest in leading multi-disciplinary teams, with special interests in the creative redesign of care pathways, intelligent use of digitalisation and data, and workforce provisioning.
- Dr Neil Paul is a GP Partner in Cheshire, board member of the Cheshire East Integrated Care Partnership, Clinical Director of Cheshire PCN and CCG member. Neil has a vast understanding of Primary Care and a keen interest in IT and how it can be utilised to shape the delivery of Primary Care.
- Dr Christopher Williams is a practicing GP in Northern Ireland. Chris has a keen interest primarily in human factors, process mapping and task analysis, specifically how these can be applied to the benefit of healthcare staff and their patients.
- Dr Jack Aw is a practicing GP, Director of Loomer Medical, Director of North Staff GP Federation, Clinical Director of ABC Primary Care Network and member of North Staffs Local Medical Committee
- Caroline Pond, Operations Director at Medcay Ltd, is a pharmacist with experience across community pharmacy, clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical industry. She specialises in providing audit and training services to Dispensing GP practices and project manages several CCG, NHS Federation and pharmaceutical Industry initiatives supporting patients on specialty medicines.
- Prof Krishnarajah Nirantharakumar is a Professor in Health Data Science and Public Health, Honorary Consultant in Public Health Medicine and UKRI Innovation Clinical Fellow.
The board’s wealth of knowledge and expertise spans across the UK with all home nations within the NHS represented. Cegedim’s mantra is to Listen; Act, Improve and the members of the CAB will be integral to steering their journey and helping shape the future of Cegedim’s Primary Care Solutions.
